Who Uses Intrapsychic Humanism?

Intrapsychic humanism is used by mental health professionals, pre-school teachers and counselors, social service program administrators, business consultants, parents, and adults seeking self-improvement. A naturalistic, clinical research project was conducted demonstrating the use of the treatment approach in an innovative residential program for severely emotionally disturbed teenage state wards (Pieper & Pieper, 1995). It has also been applied with positive results in a broad range of additional clinical settings. These include residential treatment for homeless adults with severe mental illness, outpatient substance abuse programs, private and group psychotherapy practice, early childhood intervention programs, and hospitals. In addition, this theory has been applied in public and private school settings, in the business world, and in parenting education programs.
